Been humbled to work on a series of illustrations for the Royal Children's Hospital. An annual fundraiser for 'my room' Children's cancer centre. Each year the function follows a different theme and for 21 years has used a teddy bear mascot. This year's the theme will be 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. A great opportunity to design some bright fun elements which will be used across promotional material and also be created into table centre pieces for the event. A worthy cause.

Print Industries Comic illustration
Hey, here is a rather complex vector project I have been working on, A series of characters to represent each of the services offered with a brief comic style story introducing each 'hero'. This layout is for a double page spread in a trade magazine.

Tony Robinson's London Olympics Unearthed
Here is a few images I recently created for WTFN's production 'Tony Robinson's London Olympics Unearthed' which recently aired on Foxtel's 'History Channel'. As usual with Tony Robinson's work, this was an amazing show which keeps you hooked thorughout. The images were only used briefly to fill gaps where suitable imagery could not be sourced. The final illustrations were Photoshop files layered in multiple folders ready for the post-production team to work their animation magic. They would move the forward layers across as the camera zoomed into certain areas creating depth, this meant that each background and figure had to be illustrated in its entirety even if it appears behind another object.

My Favourite Family
Finalised a series of characters for the 'My Favourite Family', Here is few of characters, An excercise that was made a lot faster thanks for Adobe Illustrators 'width' tool, Which in most cases makes it much easier to have line vary in width. Not sure if they will be available in Oz, But be sure to keep an eye out for them if travelling through Europe.

Ollie Ollie Ollie..
I have had the pleasure of recently exploring my passion for character design and cartoons. I have just finalised the artwork for 'Ollie the Octopus' a kid friendly mascot for swim centres in the City of Kingston. Pretty sure I hit the brief to create a character that will appeal to children. I showed him to my own children for critique and chose to ignore Mia's request for him to be more 'pink' and more of a 'mermaid'.. Hopefully the little tadpoles will not flee in fear from Ollie, he only wants to make friends and swim (but not right after eating cake)!.. These a couple of the poses created which will be used on signage, posters invitations etc. Also looking forward to seeing Ollie made into a costume soon.

Monday Knights Vector
Originally this was just designed as a cartoon for the front page of the old yahoo groups page, however it has evolved into being used as a logo on membership cards and T-Shirts. Seems the time to turn the now infamous pic into a usable logo as the 'Knights' press towards world domination. Spent a few late nights converting the old 'Monday Knights' into a WW2 bomber nose cone art style patch.
